Celadon Trucking Services, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Celadon Group, Inc. (NYSE:CGI), announced today that it has agreed to acquire Hyndman Transport Limited, based in Wroxeter, Ontario. Hyndman operates approximately 175 tractors and generated approximately $48 million in revenue in 2012, comprised of both domestic Canadian shipments and international shipments between Canada and the United States. Additional terms and conditions of the transaction were not disclosed. |
Celadon Group provides truckload freight transportation. Co. has three segments: asset-based, asset-light, and equipment leasing and services. Co.'s primary asset based services include U.S. domestic dry van, refrigerated, and flatbed service; cross-border service between the U.S. and each of Mexico and Canada; intra-Mexico and intra-Canada service; dedicated contract service; regional short haul service; and rail intermodal service. In addition, Co.'s primary asset light services include freight brokerage, warehousing, less-than truckload consolidation, and supply chain logistics services, while its primary equipment leasing and services include tractor and trailer sales and leasing.
