Details: Copano Energy, L.L.C. (NASDAQ: CPNO) announced today that, at a special meeting of unitholders held earlier today, its unitholders voted to adopt the merger agreement, entered into on January 29, 2013, among Copano, Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: KMP), Kinder Morgan G.P., Inc. and Javelina Merger Sub LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P., pursuant to which Copano will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kinder Morgan.

Copano Energy is an energy company engaged in the business of providing midstream services to natural gas producers, including gathering, transportation and processing of natural gas, fractionation and transportation of natural gas liquids (NGLs) and other related services. Co. manages and operates its business in three segments: Texas; Oklahoma; and Rocky Mountains. As of Dec 31 2011, Co.'s assets included about 6,800 miles of active natural gas gathering and transmission pipelines and 10 natural gas processing plants. In addition, as of that date, Co. operated 380 miles of NGLs pipelines.
