Buyback Details: Atwood Oceanics, Inc. (the "Company") announced today that the Company had agreed to repurchase 2,000,000 shares of the Company's common stock from Helmerich & Payne International Drilling Co. ("H&P") at a discount to today's closing market price of the common stock. Following the repurchase, the Company will cancel the shares. The transaction is expected to close on June 13, 2013.

Atwood Oceanics is an offshore drilling contractor engaged in the drilling and completion of exploratory and developmental oil and gas wells. As of Sep 30 2016, Co. owned a fleet of 10 mobile offshore drilling units, which consisted of ultra-deepwater drillships, semisubmersible rigs, and jackup drilling rigs, located in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, the Mediterranean Sea, offshore West Africa, offshore Southeast Asia and offshore Australia. In addition, Co. is constructing two ultra-deepwater drillships. Co.'s clients consist primarily of integrated oil and natural gas companies and independent oil and natural gas companies.
