In addition, through its other wholly-owned subsidiary, Alleghany Insurance Holdings LLC, Co. is engaged in the property and casualty insurance business. In addition, Co. owns certain other holding company investments. Co.'s wholly-owned subsidiary, Alleghany Properties Holdings LLC, owns and manages certain properties in the Sacramento, CA region. Co.'s public equity investments are managed through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Roundwood Asset Management LLC.
