Details: Meritage Homes Corporation (NYSE: MTH), a leading U.S. homebuilder, today announced its entry into the Nashville, Tennessee, market through the acquisition of the assets and operations of Phillips Builders.

Meritage Homes is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. designs and builds single-family homes. Co. provides a variety of homes that are designed for the first-time and first move-up buyers. Co. also operates a financial services reporting segment. In this segment, Co. provides title and escrow, mortgage, and insurance services. Carefree Title Agency, Inc., its wholly-owned title company, provides title insurance and closing/settlement services to its homebuyers. Meritage Homes Insurance Agency, Inc., its wholly-owned insurance broker, works in collaboration with insurance companies nationwide to provide homeowners insurance and other insurance products to its homebuyers.
