Atlantic American is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. operates in markets within the life and health and property and casualty insurance industries. Co.'s subsidiaries are: American Southern Insurance Company and American Safety Insurance Company, which provides property and casualty insurance, including business automobile insurance, general liability insurance, and surety bonds; and Bankers Fidelity Life Insurance Company, Bankers Fidelity Assurance Company and Atlantic Capital Life Assurance Company, which comprises the life and health operations of Co. and provides a variety of life and supplemental health products.
