Through its subsidiaries, Co. is engaged as an independent oil and gas exploration and production company focused on frontier and emerging areas in Africa and South America. Co.'s management operations are conducted through a wholly owned subsidiary, Kosmos Energy, LLC. Co.'s asset portfolio includes existing production, discoveries and exploration prospects offshore Ghana, as well as exploration licenses offshore Morocco and Suriname and onshore Cameroon. As of Dec 31 2011, Co. had total reserves of 51.0 million barrels of oil equivalent (Mmboe), comprised of 26.0 Mmboe proved developed and 26.0 Mmboe proved undeveloped reserves.
