Princpal Real Estate Income Fund is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company registered under the 1940 Act. Co. has no operating history. Co.'s investment objective is to provide high income, with capital appreciation as a secondary objective, by investing in commercial real estate-related securities. Under normal market conditions, Co. invests at least 80% of its total assets in commercial real estate-related securities, primarily consisting of CMBS and other U.S. and non-U.S. real estate-related securities (primarily REITs or REIT-like entities). As of Oct 31 2014 total assets were $208,216,481 and total investments were $205,840,637.
