Co. has four segments: Standard & Poor's Ratings, which is a provider of credit ratings, providing investors and market participants with information and ratings benchmarks; S&P Capital IQ, which is a provider of financial research and analytical tools, combining cross-asset analytics and desktop services; S&P Dow Jones Indices, which is an index provider that maintains a range of valuation and index benchmarks; and Commodities & Commercial, which focuses in commercial and commodities markets that deliver access to information, data, analytic services and pricing benchmarks. In the past twelve months, McGraw Hill Financial, Inc. has repurchased a substantial amount of its outstanding shares — a lower share count means that the remaining shares will each enjoy a large slice of the company's future earnings.
