PCC: together with its wholly owned subsidiaries is a real estate investment trust (REIT) that primarily originates loans to small businesses collateralized by first liens on the real estate of the related business. The Company's loans are predominantly (93% at December 31, 2009) to borrowers in the limited service hospitality industry. PMC Commercial generates revenue primarily from the yield and other fees earned on its investments. Its operations are located in Dallas, Texas and include originating, servicing and selling commercial loans. The Company originates loans through PMC Commercial and its wholly owned lending subsidiaries: First Western SBLC, Inc. (First Western), PMC Investment Corporation (PMCIC) and Western Financial Capital Corporation (Western Financial). First Western originates loans through the Small Business Administration's (SBA). First Western originates, sells and services small business loans. DCT: an industrial real estate company that owns, operates and develops bulk distribution and light industrial properties in distribution markets in the United States and Mexico. Its business is conducted through a subsidiary, DCT Industrial Operating Partnership LP. As of December 31, 2009, DCT owned interests in, managed, or had under development 450 industrial real estate buildings comprised of approximately 75.4 million square feet. During the year ended December 31, 2009, the Company sold three operating properties comprised of approximately 0.9 million square feet and two land parcels comprised of approximately 4.3 acres. It has three segments based upon the property type: bulk distribution, light industrial and other. EGP: engaged in the acquisition, development and operation of industrial properties in Sunbelt markets throughout the United States, including the states of Florida, Texas, Arizona and California. During the year ended December 31, 2009, EastGroup increased its ownership in real estate properties through its acquisition and development programs. The Company purchased two multi-tenant, business distribution complexes with a total of five buildings (368,000 square feet) and 35.9 acres of developable land. Also during 2009, EastGroup transferred 12 properties (1,242,000 square feet) from development to real estate properties. During 2009, EastGroup sold one vacant operating property in El Paso, Texas.
